Trump Burger Opens in Houston: A Bold Blend of Burgers and Politics

Houston's diverse culinary landscape has welcomed a new and controversial addition: Trump Burger. Located at 3410 Chimney Rock Road, this politically themed eatery is the fourth Texas location of the chain, following its original establishment in Bellville in 2020, and subsequent openings in Flatonia and Kemah.

Owned by Lebanese immigrant Roland Beainy, who has over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Trump Burger is known for its unabashed political branding. The menu features items like the signature 8-ounce "Trump Burger" and the towering 16-ounce "Trump Tower," with buns branded with "TRUMP." Other offerings include chicken sandwiches, Philly cheesesteaks, and sides like fries and onion rings.

The Houston location is notable for being the first in the chain to feature a drive-thru, catering to the city's fast-paced lifestyle. While the dine-in area accommodates up to 20 guests, the focus is on takeout and drive-thru service. The restaurant also sells Trump-themed merchandise, aligning with its political motif.

Beainy, who opened the first Trump Burger in Bellville, cites his support for former President Donald Trump as the inspiration behind the restaurant's theme. He believes that even those who don't align politically may still appreciate the food, stating, "Non-Trump supporters will come by just to eat; food makes peace with everybody."

Despite its popularity among some, the restaurant has faced criticism and backlash due to its overt political branding. The Houston opening, in particular, has sparked controversy, with some residents expressing disapproval.

Trump Burger is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a grand opening celebration planned in the coming weeks.
