Houston’s cocktail scene has a new gem, and it’s already shaking things up—literally. Located in the stylish Regent Square development, De Fortune is an intimate, upscale cocktail lounge where global flavors, striking design, and masterful mixology come together in one unforgettable experience.
A Global Journey in Every Sip
At De Fortune, cocktails are more than drinks—they’re stories. The menu, crafted with guidance from Miami-based consultants Unfiltered Hospitality, features a curated mix of six timeless classics and twelve rotating signature drinks. Each is inspired by international ingredients—from saffron and lychee to Mastiha and praline—creating a journey of tastes as diverse as Houston itself.
Signature cocktails highlight regions from across the globe while staying rooted in De Fortune’s elevated approach. The focus is on seasonality, creativity, and sensory experience.
Design That Tells Its Own Story
Designed by the acclaimed Gin Design Group, the space is moody, magnetic, and meticulously detailed. Guests enter through grand gray doors and are welcomed by jewel-toned banquettes, Azul quartzite surfaces, and iridescent mirrored arches that bounce light across dark, lush interiors. Tropical plants and soft lighting complete the ambiance, giving it a subtle speakeasy-meets-Moroccan-lounge vibe.
This is a place to linger, not just sip.
Small Bites, Big Pairings
While De Fortune centers on its cocktail program, guests can also enjoy curated charcuterie boards that feature fine cheeses and meats from around the world. These boards are designed to complement the cocktails and add a layer of sophistication to your evening.
Meet the Owners: Houston Roots, Global Vision
De Fortune is the inaugural concept from MAKE Investments, a Houston-based hospitality group founded by five local entrepreneurs: Mayur Desai, Atik Mistry, Kinjal Desai, Emish Patel, and [Fifth Partner's Name]. Drawing inspiration from renowned international cocktail bars like The Clumsies in Athens and Atlas Bar in Singapore, the team aims to introduce a fresh, globally influenced experience to Houston's nightlife scene.
