Inner Loop
Houston’s Heartbeat at its Best
The Inner Loop is where Houston’s diverse culture, art, food, and history intersect. Enclosed by Interstate 610, this central zone is home to some of the city’s most iconic, walkable, and dynamic neighborhoods. Whether you're exploring world-class museums, catching live music, or dining at a James Beard–nominated restaurant, it’s all happening right here.
Montrose
Bohemian, artistic, and unapologetically original, Montrose is one of Houston’s most beloved neighborhoods. Known for its historic bungalows, vibrant LGBTQ+ legacy, and thriving art scene, Montrose blends vintage charm with progressive energy. The Menil Collection, Rothko Chapel, and a mix of indie shops, bars, and global eateries make it a cultural destination like no other. Residents love the walkability, creative spirit, and close proximity to Downtown, Midtown, and the Museum District.
The Heights
Just northwest of Downtown, the Heights is a charming blend of old and new. Historic homes and tree-lined streets meet modern restaurants, boutiques, and coffee shops. With bike trails, farmers' markets, and a strong sense of community, it’s a favorite for families, artists, and professionals.
Midtown
Midtown is Houston’s millennial playground—urban, energetic, and packed with nightlife. Skyscrapers meet green spaces here, with Baldwin Park, trendy lounges, and some of the city’s best brunch spots within walking distance. It’s also a transit hub, offering quick access to Downtown, the Museum District, and the Texas Medical Center.
Museum District
This cultural corridor is home to 19 museums, including the Museum of Fine Arts, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and the Contemporary Arts Museum. With Hermann Park and the Houston Zoo nearby, the Museum District is perfect for art lovers and families alike. Beautiful oak-lined boulevards and proximity to Rice University add to the district’s elegance.
Third Ward
One of Houston’s most historic African American neighborhoods, the Third Ward is rich in legacy and energy. It’s home to Texas Southern University and close to the University of Houston. A growing arts and food scene, combined with ongoing preservation efforts, makes it a district of transformation and pride.
EaDo (East Downtown)
Once a warehouse district, EaDo is now one of Houston’s fastest-growing neighborhoods. Known for its street art, breweries, and soccer at Shell Energy Stadium, EaDo attracts creatives, entrepreneurs, and those who love an industrial-chic vibe. It’s a bridge between East End culture and Downtown innovation.
